  1. Position the diamond stone
    Place the double-grit plate (400/1000) firmly on its magnetic base. This guarantees a stable base throughout the entire sharpening session.
  2. Set the sharpening angle
    Press the blade against the magnetised support and choose the angle according to your needs: • 15° for a fine and precise edge • 20° for a stronger and more durable edge
  3. Start with the 400 grit
    Pass the blade ten times on each side, starting from the heel to the tip. This step eliminates imperfections and restores the bite to the edge.
  4. Finish with the 1000 grit
    Repeat the same movements in the slot dedicated to the 1000 grit. Around six light passes are enough to smooth and polish the blade until a mirror edge is achieved.
  5. Clean and store your equipment
    Rinse the blade under clean water, wipe it well, then store your sharpener in a drawer or cupboard within reach.
    Pro tip: Do not apply unnecessary pressure. Let the stone do the work to preserve both the blade edge and the longevity of the sharpener.
